After completion of his High School education - which was specialised in business - Dr. Altenweisl initially studied business. While this provided useful insights he recognized his preference of legal studies. Eventually he graduated in law and continued wet on to do his PhD in the same subject. This was followed by a year of court training and chambering in Insbruck.
In 2003 Dr. Altenweisl started his own lawfirm which is continously expanding and has three partner today (AWZ Altenweisl Watschinger Zimmermann Rechtsanwälte GmbH).
